Krishna Gopal Patel was born in Meerut. He attended the [[Chaudhary Charan Singh University]] and attained [[Bachelor of Arts|BA]], [[Bachelor of Laws|LLB]] & [[Master of Arts|MA]] degrees and later on shifted to lakhimpur kheri with his family.<ref name="Candidate affidavit"/><ref name="Member Profile"/>

Krishna Gopal Patel has been a [[Member of the Legislative Assembly (India)|MLA]] for one term. He represented the [[Nighasan (Assembly constituency)|Nighasan]] constituency and is a member of the [[Samajwadi Party]] political party.
