==History of the constituency==
After the passing of the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Act, 1952, the Kuchinapudi constituency was first created for the [[Andhra state]] Legislative Assembly in 1955.<ref name=delimitation1951>{{cite web |url=https://old.eci.gov.in/files/file/3968-dpaco-1951 |title=The Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Order, 1951 |publisher=[[Election Commission of India]] |date=23 August 1951 |access-date=15 May 2024}}</ref> It's extent was Repalle taluk (excluding Repalle and Cherukupalli firkas). After the passing of the Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly Constituencies Act, 1976, its extent was the Kuchinapudi firka (excluding any area included in
Repalle municipality) and Chodayapalem, Pedamatlapudi and
