She was the daughter of the king and poet [[Gona Budda Reddy]], who wrote ''Ranganatha Ramayanam'' in Telugu. She was the younger sister of [[Gona Ganna Reddy]] and wife of Malyala Gunda Dandadeeshudu.<br />
