Kurali is 28&amp;amp;nbsp;km away from the Punjab state capital [[Chandigarh]], situated on [[National Highway 21 (India)|National Highway 21]]. Nearby towns include [[Kharar, Mohali|Kharar]], [[Ropar]] and [[Morinda]] on its respective three sides.&lt;br /&gt;

Kurali is administered by an elected municipal council. The town is served by a government hospital, post office, and several schools and colleges.&lt;br /&gt;

Kurali sits on National Highway 21 with direct access to [[Chandigarh]] and other parts of Punjab and  India. The city is accessible by bus and supports a [[railroad|rail]] station with direct routes to other parts of the country, including [[Dehli]]. The nearest airport is an international airport approximately 30&amp;amp;nbsp;km away located in Mohali.&lt;br /&gt;

The town&amp;#039;s railway station is one of the oldest in the state of Punjab and has been used as a set piece for several [[Bollywood]] movies.&lt;br /&gt;

Kurali supports several educational institutions. Khalsa Senior Secondary School  is one of the oldest institution. Govt school kurali is the  PRIMARY school and Chakwal Senior Secondary School which was opened by lala budh ram after Indo-pak partition, is one of the old schools in the area as well.  In the city, National Public School &amp;lt;ref&amp;gt;http://npskurali.com/&amp;lt;/ref&amp;gt; was the first English middle school in the area. The  school is  affiliated  to the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E.) New Delhi for A.I.S.S.E. (All India Secondary School Examination) and A.I.S.S.C.E. (All India Senior School Certificate Examination).&lt;br /&gt;

Other schools are Guru Harkrishan Public School, D.A.V. Model School and  International Public School&lt;br /&gt;

The area also includes the Govt. Edustar Adarsh Senior Secondary School at Kalewal (giving free quality education/lunch for children of rural area, affiliated to CBSE), Senior Secondary School, IET Bhaddal, Indo-global Mirzapur, two colleges in Sahauran (Rayat college and Doaba College) and Sarawati nursing college.&lt;br /&gt;

Kurali was a very popular market for [[jaggery]] and [[Peanut|groundnuts]] and is a famous market for [[sunflower]] and [[sugarcane]]. Kurali has a developing industrial sector due in part to the Government Industrial Area established in the early 1990s.&lt;br /&gt;

Kurali is famous for cheap firecrackers during the festival seasons such as Diwali and the traffic jams during that period can go on for many kilometres.&lt;br /&gt;
And other Ekam Electronics, Prem electronics, Extra fine store, Tuhee Enterprises the best business shops in kurali.&lt;br /&gt;

There are two Sikh Gurdwaras in the city, Gurdwara Shri Guru Hargobindgarh Sahib located on morinda road and Gurdwara Nanaksar Thath located in the market. The Sikhs celebrate every occasion here. Every year on the gurpurab of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Guru Gobind Singh ji, evening function of gurbani is arranged for kids, where kids sing gurbani.There are one sikh martial academy khalsa akal purakh ki fouj international gatka academy located at khed stadium singhpura road where childrens get free martial art training from the well trained Gatka federation of india and punjab gatka association coach. {{Clarification needed|date=April 2021}}&lt;br /&gt;

Every year a fair is organized at Gossianwale Temple. At Nadipaar hundreds of thousands of people can be seen several times a year on special occasions having a community meal (langar), participating in havan or having medicated KHEER (for asthma -dama). Anyone can get free medicine for any disease (joint pain, diabetes, kidney problems or even cancer).  People come to get blessings of Swami Ji Mahraaj, to heal their physical body and the inner self as well (the address is niholka road kurali district Mohali Punjab, India -post 140103).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Other cultural events include Sheetla Mata fairs and Qawwalis at Peerkhana (at least once a year).&lt;br /&gt;

The town has a mosque also.&lt;br /&gt;

Other religious places/attractions of Kurali city are the temple of Sitla Mata, Sai Baba Mandir/Vridh Ashram, and 12 Mandir.&lt;br /&gt;
