Baghel is from [[Bastar district|Bastar]], Chhattisgarh. He is the son of later Duryodhan Baghel. Baghel won from Bastar Assembly constituency representing the [[Indian National Congress]] in the 2023 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election.
