Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi was born in [[Chennai]] to violin maestro [[Lalgudi Jayaraman]]. Lalgudi Vijayalakshmi debuted in 1979. She travels extensively on musical tours all over the world. Her style like her father's gayaka style closest to vocal rendition.<br />
