==Life==
Vachani studied at the [[St. Stephen's College, Delhi|St. Stephen's College]], [[Delhi University]] and the Annenberg School for Communication at the [[University of Pennsylvania]].

He was a visiting lecturer at the Mass Communication Research Centre in Delhi from 1990 to 1998. He also taught courses on film production at the [[University of Massachusetts, Amherst]] and the [[Amherst College]].
He has been a visiting scholar at the Center for Media, Culture and History at the [[New York University]] in 1999,<ref name=about>
