== Biography ==
Jagudi was born on 1 July 1940 in a [[Garhwali people|Garhwali family]] in Dhangan gaon, in the [[Tehri Garhwal district]]<ref name="THIRTEEN HINDI POETS">{{cite web | url=http://hindiurduflagship.org/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Leeladhar-Jagudi.pdf | title=THIRTEEN HINDI POETS | publisher=Hindi Urdu Flagship | date=2015 | access-date=23 November 2015}}</ref> of the Indian state of [[Uttarakhand]].<ref name="Leeladhar Jagudi on Hindi Samay">{{cite web | url=http://www.hindisamay.com/lekhak/liladhar-jagur.htm | title=Leeladhar Jagudi on Hindi Samay | publisher=Hindi Samay | date=2015 | access-date=23 November 2015}}</ref> After securing a master's degree (MA) in Hindi language and literature, he started his career by joining [[the Garhwal Rifles]] of the [[Indian Army]].
