His fourth film, ''[[Double Barrel (film)|Double Barrel]]'', an experimental film received only mixed reviews. His fifth film was again a crime-gangster film ''[[Angamaly Diaries]]'' (2017), starring almost 90 new actors, which preceded [[Ee.Ma.Yau]], released in 2018. His latest movie ''[[Jallikkattu]]'' premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.
