&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Linda Johnsen&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (born 1954 in Chicago) is an author on [[yoga]] and other aspects of [[Hinduism]]. She earned a master&amp;#039;s degree in Eastern Studies&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;meditation essay&amp;quot; /&amp;gt; and did post-graduate work in [[Comparative Religion]]s at the [[Graduate Theological Union]] in [[Berkeley, California|Berkeley]]. In addition she spent decades studying Eastern traditions with [[Shakta]] and [[Shaivite]] [[yogis]] in India and North America.&lt;br /&gt;
