==Origins and status==<br />
Originally, the Loniya Chauhan or shakumbhari Chauhan were resident in [[Rajasthan]] and ruled on wide area of rajsthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. The notable thing is, The [[Luni River|Luni river]] is a major river of Rajsthan and India's largest inland river also,flows and join to the [[Sambhar Lake Town|sambhar lake]]. ==Present circumstances==<br />
A huge population of Loniya Chauhan Rajput live in uttar pradesh. This can be seen in the caste census of during British rule. There most concentration can be found in Pratapgarh, Gorakhpur , Maharajganj and Varanasi district in uttar pradesh. In 1883 Loniya formed a caste association called the ''Akhilbhartiya Shree Rajput Dharmpracharniya Mahasabha'', under the leadership of Thakur Lalamathura Prasad Singh.
