Lushin was born as '''Lushin Keswani''' to a [[Sindhi people|Sindhi]] Hindu family. Her father, Govind Keswani, was an engineer with the [[Indian Railways]], and her mother, Leela, was a gynaecologist who worked with the [[Indian Army]].
