Madhavan Ayyappath was born in 1934 in [[Chowannur]] near [[Kunnamkulam]] in [[Thrissur district]] as the son of [[Peringode|Peringott]] Karumathil Ramunni Nair and Ayyappath Lakshmikkutty Amma.
