&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Madhavi Pattanayak&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (or &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Madhavi Dasi&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, 16th-century CE) is one of the earliest woman poet in the [[Odia language]]. She was a contemporary of the famous [[Pancha Sakha]] poets in the late fifteenth early sixteenth centuries. She was a disciple of [[Sri Chaitanya]].&lt;br /&gt;

==Early life and family==&lt;br /&gt;
She was born in [[Bentapura]] village of [[Puri district]] in a [[Karan (caste)|Karana]] family and was the cousin of [[Raya Ramananda]], governor of Rajmahendri.She got widowed at an early age lived for a while at her cousin Raya Ramananda&amp;#039;s house.
