[[Saurath Sabha|Saurath]], a road side village on Madhubani-Jainagar road, contains a temple known as Somnath Mahadev. It owes its importance to the annual Sabha held by [[Maithil Brahmin|Maithili Brahmins]] for negotiating marriages.
