Hemlata was aided by [[Suniti Devi|Maharani Suniti Devi]] of [[Cooch Behar State|Koch Bihar]] and her sister, the [[Sucharu Devi|Maharani Sucharu Devi]] of [[Mayurbhanj]], both daughters of another Brahmo reformist [[Keshub Chandra Sen]].
