Swami Premghanananda was disciple of second president of [[Belur Math|Belur Moth]] Swami Shivananda Maharaj. In 1941, he started publishing a monthly magazine ‘Kishore Sava’ with the help of some active youths. Later, in 1943, the magazine grew up to be ‘Kishore Bangla Press’ & its office was set up at 25, Balram Dey street, Kolkata. In December 1950, a meeting was held in presence of president Shyamananda at the office of ‘Kishore Bangla’ about formation of an educational institution. It was decided that Sri Ramkrishna Ashram would be established in Mahesh, directed by Swami Premghanananda.{{fact|date=September 2021}}<br />
