&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Maibi Jagoi&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; or &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Maibi Dance&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is a [[Shamanism|shamanic]] ritual dance performed by [[Maibi]]s mostly during [[Lai Haraoba]] ceremony for the [[Umang Lai|forest deities]] of [[Manipur]]. Maibism or Maibi culture is a dominant feature of [[Sanamahism]].They are considered as medium between [[human]] and [[Soul|spirits]]. A woman may become a &amp;#039;&amp;#039;maibi&amp;#039;&amp;#039; at any age at any time. Being a maibi depend on being chosen by the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Lai&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. The maibis get trained in dance, music chanting, and complex ritual procedures.
