He has the degree of Bachelor of Laws which he obtained in 2000 from [[University of the Punjab]].<ref name="pap" />

He was elected to the [[Provincial Assembly of the Punjab]] as a candidate of [[Pakistan Muslim League (Q)]] (PML-Q) from Constituency PP-178 (Kasur-IV) in [[2002 Pakistani general election]].
