To add to the Mall of India franchise, DLF is constructing a second Mall of India in Cyber City of [[Gurgaon]], which would have a capacity space in excess of {{convert|500000|sqft|m2|-2|adj=on|abbr=on}} than their mall in Noida. However, in November 2008, construction work at the mall, after initial land lease and digging, was put on hold due to overall fall in retail rentals. After its opening Delhi NCR will have two DLF Mall of India.<ref>{{cite web| title = DLF puts Mall of India on hold as rentals slip|publisher=Economic Ties| url = http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2008-11-11/news/28392765_1_retail-rentals-rentals-dip-rajneesh-mahajan| archive-url = https://archive.today/20131016031433/http://articles.economictimes.indiatimes.com/2008-11-11/news/28392765_1_retail-rentals-rentals-dip-rajneesh-mahajan| url-status = dead| archive-date = 16 October 2013|date=11 November 2008|access-date = 2013-10-16}}</ref> Thus, its current status is held in a stalled state.
