It has quite a number of water bodies surrounding it namely the Chath Talab (dedicated to the festival of [[Chath]], famous in Bihar/Jharkhand), Singara talab, Dhobi bandh etc. It also houses the famous Pranjivan Academy high secondary school among other schools.<br />
