==Early life and education==
Manindra Agrawal obtained a [[B.Tech.]] from IIT Kanpur (1986 batch). He later joined as a [[Ph.D.]] student in the same institute.

==Career==
He created the [[AKS primality test]] with [[Neeraj Kayal]] and [[Nitin Saxena]], for which he and his co-authors won the 2006 [[Fulkerson Prize]], and the 2006 [[Gödel Prize]]. He was also awarded a 2002 [[Clay Research Award]] for this work. The test is the first [[deterministic algorithm|unconditional deterministic algorithm]] to test an ''n''-digit number for [[primality]] in a time that has been proven to be [[polynomial time|polynomial]] in ''n''.<ref>{{Cite web
