==Personal life==
Mandavi was born to Hari Shankar Mandavi and hails from Telagara village in [[Kanker district]], [[Chhattisgarh]]. He graduated with a [[Bachelor of Arts]] degree in 1986 and earned a [[Master of Arts]] in [[Sociology]] in 1988, both from Government Degree College Kanker affiliated to [[Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University|Ravishankar University Raipur]]. ==Political career==
