'''Manvi''' is a town in the [[Raichur district]] of the Indian state of [[Karnataka]]. It is the municipal headquarters of the Manvi [[Tehsil|taluk]].

Manvi is governed by a [[Municipal Corporation (India)|municipal corporation]]. It is home to a number of religious sites including: Hazrat Syed Shah Sabzali Sattar Quadri Ra, and Hazrat Syed Shah Murtuza Quadri Saheb Ra Bade Saheb Manvi, Mallikarjunn Swamy Temple, and Manvi.{{Citation needed|date=February 2020}} Manvi is associated with a number of religious philosophers of [[Hinduism]], such as the 18th-century the [[Madhva]]-follower and dasa Sri [[Jagannatha Dasa]]. {{Citation needed|date=February 2020}} It is also home to a number of archeological and historical sites, such as "Fort On The Top Of The Hill", Ancient Bridges, and the Jumma-Masjid Mosque (Shahi-Masjid), an ancient mosque with outer works of black stone from the [[Bahmani Sultanate|Bhamani]] or [[Adil Shahi dynasty|Adilshahi]] periods. The said Masque is maintaining by the Khazi Ahmed Hussain sons until his ancestral.

Manvi is located in the [[Raichur district]] of [[Karnataka State]], India. It has an administrative-limits area of 10 square kilometers (3.86 square miles) at an average elevation of 362 meters (1187 ft).

Manvi was home to many religious philosophers, including the [[Madhva]]-follower and dasa Sri [[Jagannatha Dasa]] who wrote the "''Harikathamruthasara"''. It is also known for Kalmath (Hindu Matt). It has many Hindu shrines and temples located on the hill that covers the old town in a semi-circle. Manvi is known for its elephant procession during [[Navratri|Dasara]].

Manvi is home to the (Shahi-Masjid) Jumma-Masjid Mosque, located at Cement Road Manvi. The mosque is ancient, with outer works of black stone from the Bhamani or Adilshahi period, and it is a protected archaeological monument.<ref>This structure was designated by the Hyd- official Gazette in the year 1953 as a Protected Archaeological Monument act. previously this Masque was maintained late Mohd.Maqtoom hussain later on it is maintaining by the his grandson Khazi Mohammed Ahmed Hussain and continuously his family members.</ref>

The Pale Hanumappa is located on a hill at the Rajaldinni road.

Shiva Temple is located at nearby Mallikarjuna hill. Also, one of the oldest temples of [[Sri Chowdeshwari]] is located near Manvi's vegetable market.

Two ancient bridges are located in Manvi; one at Jummalduddi Road Near Syed Khadar Mohinuddin Quadri Saheb Circle and another one at Khila, near Tippu Sultan Chowk.

Auto rickshaws are used as transport inside the city. The [[Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation]] (KSRTC) runs a bus service to other cities and villages. There are also various other private bus services.

Raichur is the nearest railway station to Manvi. Raichur is served by a major rail line with trains connecting to all major parts of India.

New Railway line, Munirabad-Mahbubnagar railway line which will pass through Manvi. Through this railway line Manvi will be connected to rest of the country.
