Hajj House Kolkata (officially known as Madina-tul-Hujjaj) is a building located at VIP Road, Kaikhali near Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, the state capital of West Bengal.[1][2] It is running under the West Bengal Ministry of Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education and is affiliated under West Bengal State Haj Committee.[3][4] It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee on 16 March 2016.[5][6]
Social works
- The West Bengal State Haj Committee announced in 2020 to provide free accommodation to students who are preparing for competitive exams.[7]
- The Hajj House had been converted to a Covid hospital in 2021 after the order of Government of West Bengal.[8][9]
