==History==
The Inda men's national under-18 ice hockey team played its first game in 2012 during the [[2012 IIHF U18 Challenge Cup of Asia]] being held in [[Abu Dhabi]], [[United Arab Emirates]].<ref name="2012CCOAU18">{{cite web | url=http://www.iihf.com/channels1112/u18ccoa/statistics.html | title=2012 IIHF U18 Challenge Cup of Asia | publisher=[[International Ice Hockey Federation]] | access-date=2012-04-08 }}</ref> India finished fourth after winning only one game against [[Hong Kong men's national under-18 ice hockey team|Hong Kong]] and losing their other three games against [[Malaysia men's national under-18 ice hockey team|Malaysia]], [[Thailand men's national under-18 ice hockey team|Thailand]] and the [[United Arab Emirates men's national under-18 ice hockey team|United Arab Emirates]].<ref name="2012CCOAU18"/> The game against the United Arab Emirates was recorded as India's largest loss in international competition after they lost the game 1–31.<ref name="2012CCOAU18"/>
