The series title is inspired by the song ''Baatein Kuch Ankahein Si'', from the 2007 Bollywood movie, ''[[Life in a... Metro]]''.{{Citation needed|date=August 2023}} 
The series was announced on [[Star Plus]] by [[Director's Kut Productions]]. It is [[Director's Kut Productions]] first attempt at a mature love story.<ref name=":0" />
