== Biography ==
As a child, Ganga was encouraged by her father to read newspaper opinion pieces and to write.<ref name=":0"/> She began contributing opinion articles to Your Opinion Matters on NXGN at the age of 15.<ref name=":0">{{Cite news|last=Padmanabhan|first=Geeta|url=http://www.thehindu.com/features/metroplus/it-girl-ganga-bharani-on-her-literary-journey/article14322836.ece|title=Words, lines and thoughts|date=August 16, 2017|newspaper=The Hindu|access-date=30 December 2017}}</ref><ref name="IANS 2015"/> She also started blogging in 2006, starting with material that was not accepted by newspapers.<ref name=":0"/><ref name="Ramakrishnan 2016"/><ref name="IANS 2015"/> After about five years, she started writing short stories and became interested in writing a book.<ref name="IANS 2015"/> She wrote the first chapters of her first book on her blog.<ref name="Ratnakumar 2015">{{Cite news|last=Ratnakumar|first=Evelyn|url=http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/chennai/blog-it-may-win-you-a-book-contract/article7398428.ece|date=July 8, 2015|title=Blog!
