==Personal life==
Gur Iqbal Kaur was married to Parkash Singh who was a member of the [[Punjab Legislative Assembly]] from 2002 to 2007 from the [[Nawan Shahr Assembly Constituency]] of Punjab. The same seat was given to her after his demise in 2010, and she represented it in Punjab Assembly from 2012 to 2017. She was succeeded as MLA by her son [[Angad Singh |Angad Singh Saini]].
