He was elected as a member of the [[Mizoram Legislative Assembly]] from [[Lawngtlai East Assembly constituency|Lawngtlai East]] constituency of [[Jagtial district|Lawngtlai district]]. In the [[2023 Mizoram Legislative Assembly election]]s he defeated sitting MLA [[H.
