Anna M. M. Vetticad is an Indian film critic and journalist.[1][2][3] She has been in the field of journalism since 1994.[4][5] Vetticad has also hosted her own interview show, Star Trek, on Headlines Today.[6][7][8] Anna has expressed her views on the film industries[9][10][11] and racism in North-South India.[12]
Early life
Vetticad was born to Malayali parents in Delhi.[13] She completed her schooling from the Convent of Jesus and Mary, Delhi. [14]
Career
She has worked with India Today (1994–2002) and The Indian Express (2002–2005) before switching to television.[15][16] She worked with Headlines Today till 2011. She lives in Delhi with her family.[17]Template:Failed verification She also used to write columns in leading magazines and newspapers, including India Today,[18][19][20] The New Indian Express,[21] The Indian Express,[22] and The Hindu.[23][24] Vetticad is the author of the book The Adventures of an Intrepid Film Critic, which is an overview of the Hindi film industry.[25][26][27][28][29][30][31] She is a visiting faculty of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Delhi.[32]
She was the jury member of the 7th Filmsaaz.[33]
Criticism
Anna has been criticised for her alleged anti-Hindu bias in her film reviews on some occasions like Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.[34][35]
