Early life and education

Saikia was born in Diphalu Satra, Nagaon to parents Mr. Purnadhar Saikia and Mrs. Phulmai Saikia. He is an eye specialist and chief medical officer [NFSG] of ESIC Model Hospital, Khanapara, Assam.[3]
