Assam Jaitya Parishad is a political party in Assam, India formed by All Assam Students Union (AASU) and Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) in September 2020.[1] Lurinjyoti Gogoi the former All Assam Students Union general secretary is the president[2] and Jagadish Bhuyan is the general secretary.[3] The party symbol is 'Ship', as alloted by Election Commission of India for the three-phase assembly elections in Assam.[4] On March 2, 2021, AJP had a closed-door meeting over seat sharing with Raijor Dal (RD) and they finalized the list for 47 seats of the first phase.[3]
