Bala Gopaludu is a 1989 Indian Telugu-language film produced by M. R. V. Prasad under the P. B. R. Art Productions banner and directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. It stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Suhasini and music composed by Raj–Koti. This film is the debut of Nandamuri Kalyan Ram as child artist.[1]
Plot
The film begins in an orphanage where children are subjected to severe punishments under the evil clutches of diabolic wardens. Once, they plot to smuggle a sibling Raju and Lakshmi. So, they abscond and reach the village. Right now, they decide to adopt a wise person as their father. Besides, Narasimham a malicious carries out several barbarities in the village. Bangaru Muvva Bala Gopalam a gallant always confronts his cruelties. At this juncture, the children get closer to him, so, he adopts and also words never call them orphans. Meanwhile, Rekha a vainglory medico is the daughter of a multimillionaire Shekar Rao lands in a medical camp when Gopalam teases her friends. Looking at her, the children aspire to make her their mother by espousing Gopalam but she leaves. Afterward, they announce an advertisement for a mother. Spotting it, Rekha misinterprets Gopalam and decides to teach him a lesson. Hence, she approaches Gopalam in the disguise of innocent village girl Subba Lakshmi. However, he falls for her and decides to couple up. Then, Rekha reveals her true identity and humiliates Gopalam. Thereafter, he determines to get her back and proceeds towards the city along with the children. Parallelly, Shekar Rao fixes Rekha's alliance with his nephew Govinda Babu (Mohan Babu) without her approval. At that point, Rekha understands the virtue of Gopalam, also learns that he is foster to the children, and accompanies him. Following this, Shekar Rao and Govinda Babu arrive to retrieve Rekha when they mingle with Narasimham. The blackguards conspire and separate children from Gopalam which he is unable to bear. Moreover, their intrigue destroys the entire village. At last, Gopalam ceases the baddies and the children also break the prison. Finally, the movie ends on a happy note with the children conjoining with Gopalam.
