The Barelvi family is the family of the Aala Hazrat Maulana Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi who was an Indian Islamic scholar, theologian, jurist, preacher and poet.[1][2] He was the founder of the Barelvi movement or the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat Movement from the city of Bareilly.[3] He was popularly known as the Aala Hazrat by all of his followers.[4][5]
Family
Raza Ali Khan
The Great-grandfather of Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi, Raza Ali Khan was born in 1809 into a Pathan family he had two marriages with those he had four children including the Sufi saint Naqi Ali Khan, the father of Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi. He was died in 1865.[6][7]
Naqi Ali Khan
The father of Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi, Naqi Ali Khan was an Islamic scholar and Author of 26 books. He was born in 1830 to the Raza Ali khan through his first marriage. He was died in 1880 at the age of 50. He was married to Husaini Khanum and he had 2 children, Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi and Hasan Raza Khan.[8][9]
Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi
Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi was the founder of the revivalist Barelvi Movement. He was born to Naqi Ali Khan and Husaini Khanam on 14 June 1856 in Bareilly. He was Islamic scholar, poet, Author, Theologian etc.
Hassan Raza Khan
Hasan Raza Khan Barelvi wad an Indian Islamic scholar. He had worked with his brother Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi in his Revivalist movement. He was born on 1 October 1859 in Bareilly to the Naqi Ali Khan and Husaini Khanam. He had two children Hussain Raza Khan and Hasnain Raza Khan.
Hamid Raza Khan
Hamid Raza Khan was an Indian Islamic scholar who was born to Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi and Irshad Begum in 1875 in Bareilly.
Mustafa Raza Khan Qadri
Mustafa Raza Khan Qadri was Indian Islamic scholar and the younger son of the Imam Ahmed Raza khan who was born on 18 July 1892 in Bareilly.
Akhtar Raza Khan
Akhtar Raza Khan who is popularly known as Tajush Shariah by his followers. He was second in his family to enter Qaaba Sharif after Ahmed Raza Khan. He was born on 23 November 1943 to Ibrahim Raza Khan. He was ranked 22nd on the list of The 500 Most Influential Muslims and the Grand Mufti of India.
Subhan Raza Khan
Subhan Raza Khan is the former head or Sajjadanasheen of the Bareilly Sharif Dargah before his son Ahsan Raza Khan Qadri. He is also the Chief Editor of Magazine Ala Hazrat.
Ibrahim Raza Khan
Ibrahim Raza Khan was a Sufi mystic and the leader of the Barelvi movement in his time. He was born in 1907 in Bareilly to Hamid Raza Khan. He was the founder of Ala Hazrat, a monthly magazine.
Asjad Raza Khan
Asjad Raza Khan Qadri is a Barelvi leader and Sufi mystic. He is born to Tajush Shariah Akhtar Raza Khan in 1970 at Bareilly. He is considered as the present Grand Mufti of India.
Tauqeer Raza Khan
Tauqeer Raza Khan is a politician and founder of the Ittehad-e-Millat Council and All India Muslim Personal Law Board (Jadeed). He is the younger brother of Subhan Raza Khan.
Kaif Raza Khan
Kaif Raza Khan is a Social Activist. He was born to Shoeb Khan, the 4th generation of Hassan Raza Khan on 25 Decent 2001. He is also the president and the founder of Dargah Ustad-e-Zaman Trust.
