Berhampur University is a public university in Brahmapur, Odisha, India.The Berhampur University came into existence on 2 January 1967 being inaugurated by Dr. A.N. Khosla.[1]
Campus
The present campus is known as Bhanja Vihar, named after one of the greatest poets of Odisha, Kabisamrat Upendra Bhanja. Spread over an area of about Template:Convert, the university is about 12 kilometres from the city of Berhampur and about six kilometres from Gopalpur beach.
Academics
The university offers postgraduate courses in three departments: science, humanities, and business studies. These include regular programmes, self-financing programmes and diploma courses.[2] The university also offers 28 undergraduate and postgraduate courses in distance education mode, through its HariHar Mardaraj Distance Education Centre.[3]
Accreditation
Berhampur University was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an "A" grade.[4]
