Chandy Oommen, also known as Junior Chandy (Son of Oommen Chandy)[4] (born 1986) at Puthuppally, Kottayam District, is an Indian politician, Supreme Court lawyer[5] and youth wing leader of the Indian Youth Congress, a politician from the Indian National Congress party. He is an advocate by profession.[6] He is the son of former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
Early life and education

Education
Chandy completed his schooling at loyola School in 1992, and he has completed university courses in BA Hons and MA in history from the prestigious St Stephen's College, New Delhi. He was the president of the college students' union there during 2006–07. After his post-graduation, he did his LLB at Delhi University and his LLM criminology at the National Law University, New Delhi in 2015–16. After completing a summer course at the [[London School of Economics in 2018, Oommen successfully pursued his LLM in constitutional law at Christ University, Bengaluru. He is a practicing lawyer and serves as adjunct faculty at Amity University and Vivekananda Institute of Professional

Election attempts
Chandy Oommen submitted his nomination papers for Puthuppally Assembly constituency bypoll 2023. candidate for the UDF,[8][9] The Puthuppally byelection, necessitated by the death of Oommen Chandy 2023, is scheduled for 2023 September 5[10] and the result will be announced on 2023 September 8 [11]
