Devanagari Unicode block

Devanagari script is encoded as a Unicode block, encompassing characters essential for writing several Indian languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani, Bodo, Maithili, Sindhi, Nepali, and Sanskrit, among others. Initially, the code points U+0900 to U+0954 were directly derived from the characters A0 to F4 of the 1988 ISCII (Indian Script Code for Information Interchange) standard. Similarly, the Bengali, Gurmukhi, Gujarati, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam blocks were also based on their respective ISCII encodings.
