Divi's Laboratories Limited is an Indian multinational Pharmaceuticals company and producer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.[1][2][3][4] The company manufactures and custom synthesizes generic APIs, intermediates and nutraceutical ingredients.[5][6] Divi's Laboratories is India's second most valuable pharmaceutical company by market capitalization.[7]
History
Divi's Laboratories was established in 1990 as Divi's Research Centre. The company initially started developing commercial processes for the manufacturing of APIs and intermediates. Divi's Research Centre changed its name to Divi's Laboratories Limited in 1994 to signal its intent to enter the API and intermediates manufacturing industry.[8] Following this, the company established its first Manufacturing facility in 1995 at Choutuppal, Telangana.[9] In 2002, the company's second manufacturing facility commenced operations at Chippada near Visakhapatnam.[9]
The company went public with its IPO on 17 February 2003.[10][11] In 2010, the company established a research centre in Hyderabad.[9]

Active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates
Divi's Laboratories has between 60-85% global market share in generic Naproxen, Dextromethorphan and Gabapentin APIs.[12] The company currently has between 20-30% global market share in Pregabalin and Methylamine APIs.[13] The company's API production is backwards integrated.[14]
Custom synthesis
Divi's Laboratories custom synthesis division provides contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) services and contract research and manufacturing services (CRAMS).[15] The company's clients include 6 of the top 10 largest multinational pharmaceutical companies.[16]
