| Description |
English: Delivered on 19th February 1960 it was Air India's first jet aircraft. Named " Gauri Shankar" it was written-off after a landing accident at Bombay on 22nd June 1982. The aircraft landed very heavily and bounced, a go-around was attempted but the aircraft hit the ground and broke-up with the loss of 17 lives. |
