Template:Infobox religious biography Gādhi, historically known as Gāthin, was the father of Viśvāmitra. Gāthin Kauśika was a Rigvedic rishi and the author of two hymns in Mandala 3 of the Rigveda.[1] In later Hindu texts he is the king of Mahodayapura, and also the father of Satyavatī, the wife of R̥cīka.[2][3]
