Gautam Govinda is a 2002 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Gautam Verma, produced by Salim Khan,[1] starring Mithun Chakraborty, (also known as Disco King, Grand Master) Aditya Pancholi, Rakhi Sawant and Kader Khan.[2][3] This film was also dubbed in Bengali as Ghat Pratighat.
Plot
Surajiban was the original owner of land in the southern town, Dharm Dutt. He had two sons, Gautam and Sagar, who are opposites. Sagar hates Gautam because of him, Sagar's work was always a failure because of Gautam, and he was taking his mama's help. Dharm Dutt is upset with his younger son Sagar, and he wants to love his elder son Gautam, who the commissioner was also impressed by. Another side is Govinda who resembles Gautam. Govinda was a simple-minded villager who was leading a poor lifestyle with his widowed mother and his girlfriend in the same town. Sagar and Govinda always wants to smallest village when Govinda was passing from the forest with his girlfriend there they both tries to molest her girlfriend. Gautam Govinda gets angry and goes to hit them when Sagar sees Govinda he gets to see him because his identity was matching to his elder brother Gautam. The next day Sagar visits Govinda's home and he tells him that he will kill his elder brother and he will replace Govinda so that he can help and used him. The next day Gautam comes to Sagar's house with the documents and while going home Sagar gives his car to his elder brother Gautam puts a bomb below the car and Gautam gets killed in a car blast. The next day they replace Govinda with Gautams place and teaching everything as Gautam. But his plan gets filled by you Singh Gautam activity Govinda withdraws 4 lakh rupees from Sagar's account?
Now Sagar and mama get together and plan to teach Govinda a lesson. Mama calls the police and tells them everything that is not the truth. They tell us that go in the reason for Gautam state and he is a had only killed Goutam and police arrest Govinda and puts him in jail. Govind Das's girlfriend is shocked to hear that Govinda had murdered someone and is heartbroken. But Govinda tells her that it cannot be possible that I have killed Gautam and there the twist turnovers and matter comes to different cases.
Govinda tells her girlfriend in front of everyone that Govinda and Gautam is only one person when he visits village he comes to know that village is in trouble because of his elder brother Sagar and when sagas criminal activity news ghost his father is father gets depressed so his disguise as Govinda stay with one old mother's house and convince others that you should tell everyone as I am your son. When Sagar plans to kill him before he knows that he has planned to kill him so when he sits car it takes the help of the driver and he jumps out and the car gets blast and Gautam runs away safely. Sagar thinks that his plan is successful by killing his elder brother Gautam. When mama comes to know that Gautam and Govinda are only one person he tells everything to Sagar. Gautam tells to police that his father knows everything about his younger brother so he takes the police to his father Surajban but his father was killed by Sagar and he was dead, police bring again back Gautam to jail. Police also bring that woman to the station where Gautam leading as Govinda and as her son. Sagar blackmails her to not to tell truth to the police and she tells to police that she doesn't know anything. Sagar and Mama kidnap Gautam's girlfriend and when Gautam gets that news he fights with the police and escapes from jail and he goes to save her and the fights begin with Sagar and Gautam. Goutam gets succeeded to release her girlfriend and he tries to eliminate his younger brother Sagar but Sagar request for forgiveness of all his crimes and there they both the brothers plan to reunite and lead a good life. But police come to know that all crime was done by Sagar so they arrest Sagar for killing his own father Surajban.
