Gurcharan Das Mehta, also known as Param Guru Mehta Ji Maharaj, was the sixth Revered Sant Satguru[1][2] of the Radhasoami Satsang Dayalbagh. He was born on 20 December 1885 in Batala, to a respectable Punjabi family.[3] His father was Shri Atma Ram Sahab Mehta. He studied from Thomason College of Civil Engineering, Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee) and served in Punjab Government.[4][5]

Mehta Ji Maharaj became Sant Satguru of Radhasoami Satsang Dayalbagh in 1937.[6] He stressed on agricultural work Template:Cn and Seva.[7] He also strengthened the industries[4] and educational institutions of Dayalbagh and was known as the Architect of Dayalbagh.[8]
