Hazrat Nizamuddin Ki Baoli also known as Nizamuddin Baoli is 123 feets long and 53 feets broad Baoli situated under the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah.[1][2][3] It is around 800 years old.[4][5][6] It was built at the time of Gyasuddin Tughlaq reign by Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia.[7][8][9] It is taken care by Aga Khan Trust of Culture.[10][11]
History
Hazrat Nizamuddin Ki Baoli was constructed by Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya himself at the same time when Ghiyasuddin Tughluq was constructing his Fort at Tughlakabad. The workers work at Fort in daytime and works at Baoli at night.[12][13][14] It's being told that Sultan had stopped the supply of Oil for building then Nizamuddin Aulia had cursed him and said Hanuz Dilli Door Ast.[15][16][17] After that Nizamuddin Auliya used his miracle and turned the Water into Oil.[18]
