Ishan Porel (born 5 September 1998) is an Indian cricketer.[1] He made his List A debut for Bengal in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 25 February 2017.[2] He made his first-class debut for Bengal in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy on 9 November 2017.[3]
In December 2017, he was named in India's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.[4] In July 2018, he was named in the squad for India Red for the 2018–19 Duleep Trophy.[5] In August 2019, he was named in the India Green team's squad for the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy.[6][7] In October 2019, he was named in the India C squad for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy.[8] Porel was selected for the India A tour of New Zealand in January and February 2020.[9] In the 2020 IPL auction, he was bought by the Kings XI Punjab ahead of the 2020 Indian Premier League.[10][11]
On 26 October 2020, Porel was named as one of four additional bowlers to travel with the India cricket team for their tour to Australia.[12] In June 2021, he was named as one of five net bowlers for India's tour of Sri Lanka.[13]
