Jagran Public School, Lucknow is a public school in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 2007 it is affiliated to CBSE Delhi. The school is a part of the Jagran Education Foundation, initiative of Dainik Jagran.The School is accommodated in a modern building on Template:Convert of land and has a boys and girls hostel too which can accommodate 150 students. It is an institute which does not churn out academicians, instead it carves personalities of the tender live wares and nurtures them into ideal Indian citizens of tomorrow.
SCHOOL CAMPUS
The school has beautiful and serene campus settings, free from the pressures of urban life. The majestic grandeur of the building that spreads across 5 Acres of land is amply supported by aesthetically designed gardens and playfields all around. Build in the Viraj Khand-II of Gomti Nagar, Lucknow the 4 storied building houses 45 well ventilated and spacious classrooms, A QUAD [Assembly Area], Open Air theatre [for Pre Primary Section], A school Hall, A conference Room, Anveshika [Innovative Physics Lab], Aesthetically designed Yoga, Music, Dance, Art and Craft rooms, 2 Well stocked Libraries, 2 Audio Visual Rooms, Separate Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Mathematics Labs, 3 Computer Labs equipped with latest systems & Broadband connection.
It has all the basic requirements of a CBSE +2 School. It has a spacious basement that is a venue for the Annual Exhibition, Small cultural events and indoor sports competitions. There is Pre Primary Section, Separate hostels for boys [90 Boys] and Girls [70 Girls] along with separate Mess. The School building also has the Principal's residence and well furnished residences for the Hostel Wardens & in-charges [both Boys & Girls].
SCHOOL HALL & GROUND
The School Hall is a big hall that is generally the venue for various Inter House & Inter School events, Seminars, Workshops and Counseling Sessions. It is well ventilated and appropriately lit. It can accommodate the audience of around 200. It is often used for various celebrations too by the Hostel students too. All around the magnificent school structure their are gardens, playfields, and playing arenas so as to compensate the lack of playing grounds in the city. The school has a full size football field, 3 Volleyball courts, 1 Basket Ball Court, Kho Kho field and two Badminton courts. The football field is surrounded by an embankment that has kitchen gardens where students learn to grow vegetables. The other open areas comprise of school nursery, gardens, pre primary play area and shady trees which are more than 100 years old.
PRE PRIMARY SECTION
The School has a separate Pre Primary Wing which has colourful classrooms, an exclusive Audio Video Room and an open air stage that is a platform for the young kids to showcase their talent. The kids have their own sports periods and music periods to enhance and hone their creative skills.
HOSTEL - HOME AWAY FROM HOME
In the School premises there is a Hostel that is a HOME away from home to around 165 Girls & Boys that come from far off places like other cities of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Nepal and even Europe. The sole motive is to attain knowledge in the best & more suitable environment.
CO_CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES & SPORTS
The school conducts 40+ work activities like clay modeling, sculpturing, non fire cooking, baking, gardening, papier mashie, tie & dye, batiq, block printing etc. every week. Inter house events of debates, elocutions, quizzing, declamations etc are held every week so as to give maximum exposure to the students. The school has participated and won laurels in the events of quizzing, IT events, dramatics, art & craft, science & technology and many more at district, state and national level.
In sports, the school has won the CBSE Cluster of Volleyball, 7 times in a row. Many school volleyball players have played at district, region, state and national level. The school football team, floor ball team and cricket teams too have fared well at different levels of competition.
