Template:Lang is a title of nobility, which was conferred upon the seventeenth century Indian warrior king, Shivaji Bhonsale I, at the time of his coronation.[1][2][3][4][5][6] Kshatriya is one of the four varnasTemplate:Efn of Hinduism and Template:Lang means the 'head of the Template:Lang, or race'.[7]

On 24 June 1674, Shivaji was crowned as the first Chhatrapati ('emperor' or 'supreme lord'), of the Maratha Empire.[8][9]
