Batamaloo (Template:IPA-ur) or Batmaloo (Template:IPA-ur), known as Batamalyun[1] (Template:IPA-ks) in kashmiri, is a locality in Srinagar,[2] the summer capital city of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is situated just about Template:Cvt from Lal Chowk. Batamaloo is derived from Batmoul, which is composed of the two words "batte", signifying cooked rice, and "moul", signifying father, in Kashmiri.[3]
Known For
Batamaloo is known for the annual Urs[4] Mubarak of Sufi saint Sheikh Dawood Sahib popularly known as Batmol Sahib.[5][6]
