Durgi is a village in Palnadu district of the [[India]n state]] of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of Durgi mandal in Gurazala revenue division.[1][2] In 15th century, Durgi stone craft was originated in the village.[3]
History
As per Gazettee No. 939 of 26 January 2022, the old Guntur District, formed in 1904, was split into three districts – Guntur, Palnadu and Bapatla.[4]
Geography
Durgi is situated at Template:Coord. It is spread over an area of Template:Convert.[5]
Education
As per the school information report for the academic year 2018–19, the village has 6 MPP, one KGBV, one model and 7 private schools.[6]
Governance
Durgi gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village.[7] It is divided into wards and each ward is represented by a ward member.[8]
