Medikonduru mandal is one of the 18 mandals in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The mandal is under the administration of Guntur revenue division and the headquarters are located at Medikonduru. It is located at a distance 20 km from the district headquarters.

History

As per Gazettee No. 939, dated the 26 January 2022, the old Guntur district, formed in 1904, was split into Guntur district, Palnadu district and Bapatla district. 12 madals from Tenali revenue division and 13 mandals from Prakasam district was merged into the newly formed Bapatla district.[1]

Administration

The mandal is under the control of a tahsildar and the present tahsildar is P. Jaganmohan Rao.[2] Medikonduru mandal is one of the 5 mandals under Assembly constituency, which in turn represents Tadikona Assembly of Andhra Pradesh.[3]
